Discussion on the topic “Psychoanalysis in Times of War”

Dear colleagues!

We invite you to join the next part of the discussion on the topic “PSYCHOANALYSIS IN TIMES OF WAR.”

This discussion was initiated by our colleagues from the Sigmund Freud Foundation in the U.S. and the Sigmund Freud Museum in Vienna.

Our experience with psychoanalytic work, preserving the meaning of everyday life, and rethinking universal human values in wartime has proven to be both interesting and important to our colleagues. War—as a great evil—has also spurred a good cause: the strengthening of professional ties among analysts from different countries and continents. We therefore invite you to become part of this professional integration and mutual understanding.

Supervisors:
Françoise Davoine (Psychoanalyst, Paris)
Gerard Fromm (Erikson Institute of the Austen Riggs Center)
Oleksandr Filts (Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University)
Moderator: Jeanne Wolff Bernstein (Freud Foundation U.S.)

Participation is free, and simultaneous translation is provided.

To join the event, please visit the event page—there you will find a link to the Zoom conference, as well as recordings of previous parts of the discussion.

We look forward to seeing you there!
