Dear Colleagues!
We invite you to attend a public lecture as part of the annual event “Freudian Readings in Lviv,” held in honor of Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis.
Public academic events to mark the anniversary of Sigmund Freud’s birth have been held in Vienna and New York for many years for the general public. Lviv joined this tradition in 2017.
This year, the lecture will be delivered by
Jeanne Wolff Bernstein, Ph.D., former president, supervisor, and analyst at the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California (PINC) in San Francisco. She is a member of the PINC faculty and a graduate of New York University’s doctoral program in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy. In 2008, she served as the Fulbright-Freud Visiting Lecturer of Psychoanalysis at the Sigmund Freud Museum in Vienna. She is a member and serves on the board of the Vienna Working Group on Psychoanalysis, and currently works as a psychoanalyst in Vienna. She has published numerous articles at the intersection of psychoanalysis, visual arts, and cinema. She is currently working on her book about Édouard Manet, *Enframing The Gaze*.
We look forward to seeing everyone there!
